Mercury Cycle Overview 👐🌚
Mercury cycles usually last around 3.8 months and we can work with the ‘phases’ of this cycle just as we do with the phases of la luna! The cycle always begins at the superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury, which would be the equivalent phase of the New Moon. At this conjunction Mercury is on the other side of the Sun, and furthest away from us, in the underworld. It’s a powerful time to seed intentions to refresh our mental, intellectual and magical realms. Mercury is the magician, alchemist and messenger so in his cycles we can activate, renew and rebirth deeper parts of these innate archetypes within ourselves. 🧙♀️
As this Mercury cycle begins in Taurus, we are invited to slow down, attune to the wisdom of our bodies and of Gaia, tend to our inner mind garden with love, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the beauty within and around us. 🌈
🌓 The peak of the waxing phase would be equivalent to Mercury’s Greatest Eastern Elongation (GEE) where from our perspective, Mercury is furthest away from the Sun and appears as an evening ‘star’. This is a time to be laying the groundwork for what you wish to bring into reality by making plans, taking action and practising regular visualisation. 🧩
🌔 Around two weeks after the GEE Mercury begins to station retrograde – the final waxing phase. We shift our focus inwards to find more stillness, magic and seek answers and gnosis from within. It’s a time to gather your mental energies, lessen external distractions, enhance self-awareness and take note of what needs rewriting in your own mental realm. 📖
🌝 The ‘Full Moon’ phase happens at the inferior conjunction with the Sun, when Mercury is at the peak of his retrograde period. This is the most intense part of the cycle as Mercury is the closest to Earth so we feel the frequencies of this planet strongly. This would be a time of illumination, fruition and reaping of what we have sowed. Answers and truths come to light and we start to see results or revelations that help us to move forwards with more clarity.
🌖 About two weeks after the inferior conjunction Mercury stations direct – beginning of waning phase. This is the time to integrate and take action upon the things we have learnt so far in the cycle. We can now work on things that were put on pause, clear out mental space and create practical steps forward in alignment with our goals. We begin to trust the clarity gained during the retrograde to empower decisive action. 🔥
🌗 The Greatest Western Elongation (GWE) where Mercury is furthest away from the Sun from our view but appears now as a morning ‘star’. This is the waning phase of the cycle where integration, release, rest, recharge and reflection happens to prepare for the next cycle. We can consciously evaluate what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what still needs our attention. 🧘♀️
🌑 Just under a month after the GWE, about 25 days, a new Mercury cycle begins!

Superior Conjunction @The Hyades ☔️
This Taurus New Mercury cycle is seeded at the Hyades open star cluster and is 1 degree approaching the royal star Aldebaran. In mythology, the Hyades were the five daughters of Atlas, a titan who held up the sky and Pleione, a sea nymph, making them the half sisters of the Pleiades. The Hyades are known for their deep grief over the death of their brother, Hyas, who was killed hunting. They wept and mourned so intensely that Zeus placed them in the sky as a star cluster, so that their tears would forever fall to the Earth as rain. 🌧
They were known as “the rainy ones” because their rising and setting in the sky were associated with the start of the rainy season in the Mediterranean. They are associated with stormy, rainy weather, mourning, and the nourishment of the land through sorrow. 💦
When they are activated it’s usually a powerful time to honour our grief and sadness and to release any heavy emotions that hold us back from our compassion, wisdom and creative power. Synchronously, the New Moon that took place three days before the start of this cycle was also conjunct to Mercury and seeded at the beginning of the Hyades cluster. Therefore, the Hyades cluster holds a powerful energy that is influencing our conscious awareness, both mentally and emotionally! 💫
The Council of Priestesses 🧝♀️🧝🏾♀️🧝🏿♀️🧝🏻♀️🧝🏽♀️
There is a cosmic gateway on the ecliptic that runs in between the Pleiades and the Hyades, a council of Priestesses that hold the mysteries of the Divine Feminine. They are guardians of Gaia, forming a gateway to magical realms of wisdom, healing and creative power – initiating us to birth the beauty of who we truly are. 🌸
The recent lunar cycle was seeded right at the beginning of the Hyades gateway and this Mercury cycle takes place right at the end of the star cluster, on the other side of this rite of passage. ⛩
🌟 Aldebaran, positioned just outside the Hyades cluster from our perspective (Aldebaran is not part of the Hyades, it’s about 88 light years away from them), symbolises the abundance, wealth, integrity, and sacred wisdom that emerge through the powerful initiation process. This royal star beams very strong potential for growth, leadership, vision and truth seeking for us over this next cycle. Let Aldebaran be your magical guide! 💫
As a collective, we are being initiated into the divine feminine realms, mentally and emotionally. It’s a powerful time to honour our grief, let go of stubbornness, move forwards with heart and higher mind led intentions to step into our divine feminine power! 👸
🖤 Venus as The Dark Goddess 🐍
For centuries, we’ve been conditioned to fear the Dark Goddess, alongside death and the shadowy, taboo realms she rules over. But now, her ancient power is reawakening, calling to be reclaimed. She stands as the guardian of sacred mysteries, guiding us through the transformative rites of sex, death, and rebirth. As the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess, she holds an essential place in the cycle of existence – without her, creation itself would never bloom. 🌹
Venus the ruler of this Mercury cycle is in Pisces, therefore imagination and compassion are key to accessing the feminine realms within. She is conjunct Chiron (the wounded healer) in Pisces and Eris (goddess of discord) in Cetus which brings intensity yet invites us to journey through the depths of our wounds. Venus is also the warrior goddess of rebirth and the underworld, with Chiron and Eris she becomes the Dark Goddess. With the help of these asteroids she opens up a doorway to access deep seated wounds of rejection, betrayal, and injustice. With Chiron and Eris powerfully aligning with Venus, it’s clear these asteroids will also have a significant influence in our alchemical journey this Mercury cycle. 🐦🔥
There is beauty in our scars, shadows, and messy truths, encouraging us to honour emotions such as rage, hate, shame, chaos, and grief as sacred messengers. As we surrender into the darkness, we are called to dissolve grief and other heavy emotions, alchemising them into compassion, wisdom, and a greater connection to unity consciousness. 💗
🔥 At this superior conjunction, she is also forming a trine with the Galactic Centre and the fiery planet Mars who is now even more fiery in the stars of Leo. Mars motivates our inner warrior to shine and the Galactic Centre beams through divine support, empowering us to heal ourselves, uplift each other, and co-create magic in the evolution of Gaia and the cosmos. 🌌

⭐️ Our physical bodies are sacred temples full of wisdom, healing and powerful innate technology holding all the secrets of the universe! Uranus will be transiting Taurus for the next 8 years and Venus is just beginning a new 8 year pentagram star cycle with the Sun. Uranus and Venus will be working closely together over this 8 year period to help awaken and strengthen the technology innate within our temples, blending awakening with embodiment, love with liberation, and beauty with innovation! ⚡️
During this Mercury cycle, Uranus will support us in effortlessly channelling and embodying our higher selves, helping us to consciously appreciate and celebrate the beauty in our uniqueness. As Jupiter moves through the final degrees of Taurus, he brings a wealth of Taurean wisdom that we can tap into.
